When two strangers enter their lives - an older man and a younger one - their futures suddenly become uncertain as they begin to chart divergent paths. Chance meetings lead to surprising choices as the lives of three generations interlink and collide, with explosive results.

Following hit seasons on the West End and Broadway, four Tony and four Olivier Awards including Best Play, this two-part epic makes its Sydney premiere at the Seymour Centre. Directed by Shane Anthony (Anatomy of a Suicide, Ulster American, The Whale) and starring a massive cast of thirteen brilliant performers, this sexy, funny and sharply political play will be spoken about long after the final curtain. Originally from Albury, Jack Mitsch makes his Seymour Center debut after recently graduating from Actors Centre Australia. Peter ‘The Plum’ Lum (Brendan Cowell) is a living legend in Australian sporting terms. Now retired and reeling towards 50 with all the back pain and ailments a footy player can expect, he lives a humble life in Cronulla. The simplicity of this life is exactly what he wants - kicking the ball with his teenage son Gavin (Vincent Miller), dinner on the deck with girlfriend Charmayne (María Dupláa), followed by a few too many beers at the local pub with his mates Brick (John Tui), Squeaky (Josh McConville) and Magic Matt (Wayne McDaniel).

It looks like Plum is living the dream until an accident at work reveals he has a brain disorder as a result of the hundreds of head injuries and concussions he’s suffered on the field. The new diagnosis doesn’t have its intended effect, as Plum would sooner hide, run and head to the pub for drinks with the boys and pretend everything is peachy than confront things.

But hiding from the truth isn’t easy when your ex-wife (Asher Keddie) cares too much and your son comes to realise the father he worships is falling off his mantle and the game they love might be to blame.

Students Ali and Vanessa arrive at the Mansion On The Hill Retreat for a psychic tournament with a hefty prize for the winner. They’re met by the eccentric Professor Manchester and an assortment of colourful competitors, each willing to do whatever it takes to win. When one guest falls ill; Ali learns of a plan to treat him with an exorcism, but when a storm takes out the power interrupting the ritual, something evil is unleashed and suddenly much more than prize money is at stake. In a race against time, Ali and Vanessa must find a way to escape, all the while battling fellow competitors and supernatural powers alike.
